I got a good laugh at this analogy and hope brings out a smile on you too…

A Perfect Life
Life as we know it is not "perfect". There are ups and downs, twists and turns, dark days, good days. Well, imagine a life that is too “perfect”. A life with no worries, no hang-ups, no problems. One would say that life is good. Everything is right where you want it to be. All day and all night is fun, fun, fun. There's no let up, no mood swings, no gloominess. It's the perfect world, the best life, the perfect life in fact. Or is it?
A fun life isn't perfect. It is a life of solitude. It is a life without a meaningful purpose. It’s an empty life, a life that has no goal. Now imagine life on the opposite side. Everything is dull, dark, gloom, wretched. Every minute of the day is worrisome. Problem abounds. Everyday existence is an agony. Life is unfair. Life sucks!
The two scenarios, are the two extreme sides of life. Both are not fantasies, they are realities. The "better" side of life is almost always the after-sought between the two for who doesn't want to get away with misery, problems and misfortunes. But then again there are those in this side who are also unhappy, regretful and discontented for whatever they have, fame, power, or money doesn't satisfy them. Hence, life will not always be perfect.
What then makes life better, more meaningful, more worthy or near perfect? There is only one reason for life and that is love for love is the reason for our existence. Love builds families. Love binds friendships. Love creates relationships. Love gives purpose to life. And life full of love is close to perfection.

Life is like riding a bike
Biking is fun and so is life. The big analogy is that, when you are treading uphill you will have to exert great effort pedaling. So it is with life. If you want to reach your dream on top, you’ll have to struggle your way up. That means working hard, striving and doing your best. However if you want the easiest life, go downhill, pedaling effort is almost zero, but the problem is you’ll find yourself at the bottom.

Roo's gift
I never thought I could still catch a very valuable lesson from children shows these days.
One of my son's favorites is Disney's My Friends Tigger and Pooh. Disney's Playhouse is his favorite cable channel. Sometimes we have to trick him so we can watch other shows.
Anyways, one episode is about Roo's problem. It was I Love You day in Hundred Acre Woods where everyone expresses love for each other. Most everyone is giving cards, but Roo completely forgot to do anything at all, even for his mom. He wants to give her a special gift, but isn't sure what to give. His friends suggest gift ideas that suit her interests. So he gave her a pot of honey but Pooh ate it all. Second, he gave her a vase of flowers, but he sneezed at them and made a mess. Then he thought of giving her a work of art, but the wind blew it all away. Tired and exasperated, he nearly gave up. But then his friends thought of the only gift that can never be taken, or sneezed at, or blew away.
He gave her a very warm HUG....

Life is like gambling!
We may feel that some people have all the luck and we always run out of it, but the truth is, we chase and carve our own dreams. If we fail to achieve what we earnestly desire, it is not because we ran out of luck but, because we stopped pursuing at the moment of failure.

Doses of Sanity
1. Enjoy Life. There’s plenty of time to be dead.
2. Sometimes, nobody really cares if you are miserable, so you might as well be happy.
3. If you can’t solve it, it’s not a problem – it’s reality.
4. Happiness is like perfume; you can’t pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.
5. If all good things must come to an end, then don’t worry, all bad things eventually would end too.
